THE GHANA REVENUE AUTHORITY HEREBY SERVES NOTICE OF THE FORMATION OF A TASK FORCE TO RECOVER ALL UNPAID TAXES, DUTIES AND LEVIES OWED THE CUSTOMS DIVISION. 

TO AVOID ANY EMBARRASSMENT ALL INDIVIDUALS, COMPANIES, ORGANISATIONS OR INSTITUTIONS INDEBTED TO THE CUSTOMS DIVISION IN THE FORM OF ANY TAX LIABILITY ARE HEREBY REQUESTED TO PAY UP IMMEDIATELY OR CONTACT THE COMMISSIONER, CUSTOMS DIVISION TO ARRANGE FOR AN ACCEPTABLE MODE OF PAYMENT.

DEBTORS ARE TO TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT THE TASK FORCE WOULD APPLY ALL THE AVAILABLE MEANS UNDER THE LAW TO RECOVER THE STATE REVENUE INVOLVED FROM ALL DEBTORS WHO FAIL TO PAY UP AFTER THIS PUBLICATION.

A nine member board of directors has been inaugurated for the GRA. The board is chaired by Mr. Harry Owusu with eight other members comprising Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Nti, Commissioner-General of GRA, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah, Deputy Trade Minisiter, Mr. Millison Narh, first Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana and Mr. Ernest Akore.

The rest are Col. Kojo Damoah (Rtd.), Ms. Adelaide Ahwireng, Ms. Juliana Addo-Yobo and Maj. Daniel Ablorh Quarcoo (Rtd.). 

The nine member board has been charged to work to increase revenue collection for the state as well as expose corrupt officials of the Authority to save the country from losing billions of cedis. 

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Kwaku Kwarteng inaugurated the Board on behalf of the Minister. He affirmed the resolve of government to work within the law to ensure sanity in revenue administration.

 

 

Support Services Division

Mr. Fred Charles Anson has been appointed as Acting Commissioner, Support Services Division. This change took effect from April 2017 after Mr. Gabriel Katamani was re-assigned to the Ministry of Finance. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Fred Anson was Assistant Commissioner, Risk Management.

Customs Division

Mr. Isaac Crentsil has also been appointed Acting Commissioner, Customs Division. He takes over from Mr. John Vianney Kuudamnuru who retired from the Division as Commissioner, Customs Division.

Mr. Crentsil until his appointment was Deputy Commissioner in charge of the Post Clearance Audit Department, Customs Division and has served in various capacities at the Division.
