GRA Donates GHC100,000 to Support Victims of Ngyiresia Premix Fuel Explosion
The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has donated GHC100,000 to support victims of the Ngyiresia premix fuel explosion in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis. At a ceremony held at the Palace of Nana Kobina Nketsia V, Commissioner of Customs Division Brigadier General Zibrim Bawa Ayorrogo presented the donation.
Board Chairman of the GRA and Member of Parliament for the Essikadu Ketan Constituency, Joe Ghartey, highlighted the significant costs associated with treating burn victims and called for additional support. Nana Kobina Nketsia V expressed gratitude for the gesture and urged continued community solidarity.
Sadly, the explosion has resulted in six fatalities, with the most recent victims being Daniela Cornelius, Nurideen Morrison, and Kojo Egyir. The GRA remains dedicated to assisting the affected families and encourages further contributions to aid in their recovery.
